Designed on a budget for an investor in the Logan region, this is a well-appointed granny flat that improves the value of the property and provides a great result for our Client, who approached us with a simple request: “don’t overcapitalise… design something that’s low-maintenance and durable… and ensure I get maximum rental return”.
Our solution was a simple and efficient 2-bedroom layout with open plan living and durable materials. Due to site restrictions the granny flat wraps around the back corner of the existing home. Windows have been carefully sized and placed to ensure privacy from the neighbours and the family in the existing home. The design features 2 generous-sized bedrooms each with 2 windows for maximum light and cross-ventilation which helps create a healthier space. Low-voc vinyl flooring has been fitted to the living area, carpet to the bedrooms. The compact kitchen is functional and comes with additional full-height storage adjoining an open-plan bright-and-breezy living area. The bathroom was appointed with quality budget tapware and a large shower recess with full-height tiling, a standard feature of our granny flats.
This great granny flat was designed and project-managed by Nathan and built by Troy from our team at Granny and Co Homes.
